That Is Me. In a Commercial. For Cake.

20 Apr

Back in the fall, I had the pleasure of spending some time with a dear friend of mine and a bunch of his work buddies who were over from London shooting a commercial. I have a whole post written about how I entertained that lads (mostly involved bourbon and burgers) which reads as a bit of a default guide to ‘showing non-touristy tourists a good time in Manhattan when you’re all a bit tired and cold and hungry and cranky’.  I’ll share that at a later date but after months and months of waiting, the commercial/short film was finally released yesterday  making the below almost entirely a supported fact.

On a serious note, I am so proud of the guys for creating such a badass commercial and knowing all the stress of not just shooting and editing but doing so internationally has been well worth the wait.  A big thank you to Mikey, Tobias, George and Simeon for letting me hang around like a groupie, allowing me to pretend that you all actually just wanted to come visit me and a commercial kinda happened along the way and for making me look less gross than I felt during my accidental cameo.

This being my first acting gig, I opted for the ‘look surprised while trying not to laugh because everyone is staring at you’ method.  Blink and you might miss it at 1:45.  So here it is…that time I was a part of a cake commercial.
