That is the first line in the Etsy bio of artist Blair Breitenstein.  Both an excellent way to describe her work and also a decent motto in life, as far as I am concerned.  I had seen one of Blair’s pieces and very quickly had to go on the hunt for more.  There is something messy but expressive about the way she illustrates.  It’s a bit caricature but gorgeous.  Cute but borderline dark.

I would love to see what I look like interpreted by Blair.  Because it’s probably exactly what I want to look like swishing through the streets of New York City and miles away from what I actually do look like running about with more things to do than time allows.  Here are some of my fav pieces:

Make sure to check her out on Etsy!

Interesting how different they all are. Encouraging, too– artists shouldn’t have to worry about being tied to a single style. Gotta love that motto, too!
